China wants more babies. The country now has a low birth rate. To fix this, China added a tax on condoms and birth control pills.
The tax is 13% more on these items. China hopes this will make people have more children. But experts think it won't work.
Many countries have tried similar ideas. They didn't work well. Having a baby is very expensive in China. A small tax on condoms won't change that.
China used to have rules to stop people from having many children. Now they want more babies. But it's hard to change people's minds about having kids.
