Many cities around the world are stopping ads for planes, big cars, and cruise ships. They want to help the environment.
The Hague is a city in the Netherlands. It was the first city to make a law against these ads. Now you cannot see ads for petrol cars or flights in the city. Other cities like Amsterdam and Stockholm are doing the same thing.
Robert Barker works for The Hague. He says it is strange to have fossil fuel ads when the city wants people to stop using them. Experts say ads make people buy more things that hurt the planet. Some people compare fossil fuels to tobacco because both are bad for health.
