Water Leak at Louvre Damages Books

The Louvre is a big museum in Paris. It had a water leak. The leak damaged many old books. About 300-400 books got wet. These books are about Egypt and science. They are from 100-200 years ago.

The water came from an old pipe. Someone opened it by mistake. The museum will fix this problem in 2026. The wet books will be dried and fixed. Then people can read them again.

This is not the only problem at the Louvre. In October, thieves stole jewelry from the museum. The museum is very old and needs to be fixed. To get money for this, they will make tickets more expensive for some visitors.
