Norwegian cross-country skier Johannes Klaebo has made history at the Winter Olympics in Italy. He won six gold medals at a single Games, breaking a record that stood for 46 years.
The 29-year-old completed his incredible achievement by winning the 50km mass start race. He finished in two hours, six minutes, and 44.8 seconds. His Norwegian teammates took second and third place.
"It's been crazy, it's a dream come true," Klaebo told reporters. "This Olympics has been perfect."
Klaebo broke American speed skater Eric Heiden's record of five golds from 1980. He now has 11 Winter Olympic gold medals in total - more than any other winter athlete. He also became the first person to win all six cross-country skiing events at one Olympics.
