Sushi Master Jiro Ono: 100 Years of Dedication

Jiro Ono is a famous sushi chef in Japan. He just turned 100 years old! Ono started making sushi when he was very young. He opened his own sushi restaurant in Tokyo in 1965.

Ono is known for making very good sushi. Many important people have eaten at his restaurant. He even made sushi for Barack Obama when he was the US President.

Even at 100, Ono still wants to work. He says working keeps him healthy. Ono loves sushi and wants to keep making it better. He says his favorite types of sushi are tuna, gizzard shad, and saltwater eel.
